I’m off to southwest Utah next week, to visit Red Mountain Resort and feast my eyes on the land of red rocks and picturesque awesomeness

But before I go, I want to be well prepared I’m thinking about the trip I made to Beaver Creek, Colorado, a few years ago with my older son We were excited about it all, especially the hiking … so excited that we neglected to consider the fact that we were more than 8,000 feet above sea level We chose not to think about the fact that you do set out on a big hike the very first day you arrive And you have to climb a little at a time—not conquer the whole mountain in one fell swoop

It took me just a few seconds to realize that I probably was not suffering from a sudden, rare lung disease that rendered me breathless and exhausted before I did much more than start out; instead, what I was suffering from was a little altitude sickness Needless to say, the hike was a bit of a challenge and that’s a bit of an understatement! Belgian waffles, bacon, pancakes, eggs—the choices are endless but all can be made relatively healthy if you find the right ingredient substitutions!

Using the below substitutions, I was able to create a delicious brunch that held me over all afternoon and tasted just as delicious as the original!

These waffles were hearty and filling thanks to both the white whole-wheat flour and the turkey bacon. Althou

Regret might not make a list of the most powerful emotions. It would probably include things like anger, happiness, jealousy, sadness and especially for us English, embarrassment.

We tend to think of regret as essentially a backward-looking emotion. We regret things in the past, like not trying hard enough in school, how we treated a friend or the things we said to our partner in the heat of an argument. In this sense you might argue that it’s useless: why regret something you can’t change?

But regret isn’t just a backward-looking emotion, it also looks forward and it can be a terribly powerful emotion which affects our behaviour in the here and now.

An astounding finding in a hormone derived from pig bladder stem cells has proven itself and the implications are nothing short of one of the most miraculous breakthroughs in medical history.

The substance, nicknamed “Pixie Dust” is a derivative of pig bladder stem cells that has been applied to a US soldier who had lost most of his leg muscle due to combat related injuries. The application of the technology has how allowed for him to grow back the 70 percent of the upper thigh muscled he lost in the accident.
